How to solve the problem of piracy in sports broadcasts?

In sports, football is the most "pirated" content. With 360 million people worldwide visiting pirate broadcast sites monthly, according to Infront, the global OTT (Over the Top – streaming or VOD content) the potential damage from piracy is $12.5 billion a year. An increase in the "netflixication" of content has prompted Infront Lab to collaborate with Israeli startup Videocites as it aims to find technological and business solutions to piracy. In efforts to mitigate threats to the business model of football leagues, Videocites has developed an AI technology for monitoring copies of content throughout social networks by identifying the technological "fingerprint" of the content.
